The rules for using Hoja.

By accessing or using Hoja PDF ("Hoja", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. These terms apply to all visitors and users of hojapdf.com.

Hoja provides free, browser-based PDF tools — including merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, converting, and securing PDF files. All processing happens locally in your browser. We do not receive, store, or process your files on any server.

The service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising. We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or the accuracy of tool output. The tools are provided as-is, as a convenience, with no warranty of any kind.

You may use Hoja for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:

• Use Hoja to process files that contain illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, material that infringes third-party copyright, or content that violates applicable law
• Use the Unlock PDF or Protect PDF tools to circumvent security controls on documents you do not own or have no right to access — these tools are intended for use on your own files
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract content from the site in a way that disrupts service for other users
• Use automated tools to abuse the service in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure
• Misrepresent the origin or ownership of files you process

Hoja is intended for personal and professional use on files you own or have permission to work with. That's it.

Hoja is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The service will be available at any particular time or continuously
• The tools will produce output that is accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific purpose
• The site is free from bugs, errors, or security vulnerabilities
• Any output files will be accepted by third-party software or services

Before using Hoja for important documents, verify the output. We strongly recommend keeping copies of original files. The nature of PDF processing means that tool output should always be reviewed before relying on it for any consequential purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Hoja and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or its tools. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, loss of profits, or any damage resulting from errors in tool output.

Because all processing happens in your browser and we never receive your files, our liability for any file-related harm is inherently limited — we simply do not have access to your files to cause damage to them.

You retain all rights to any files you process using Hoja. We claim no ownership or license over your documents.

The Hoja name, logo, and site design are the intellectual property of the site operator. The underlying open-source libraries used (pdf-lib, PDF.js, mammoth.js, etc.) are governed by their respective open-source licences, which are available in their respective GitHub repositories.

Hoja uses Cloudflare for hosting and Google AdSense for advertising. By using this site, you are also subject to the terms of those services as they apply to you as an end user:

We reserve the right to restrict or block access to Hoja for any user or region at our sole discretion, without notice or liability. In practice, we would only do this in cases of clear abuse or legal obligation.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from your use of Hoja shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Hoja after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If we make significant changes that affect your rights, we'll add a notice on the homepage.
