Is it really free, or is this a trap?
Not a trap. Every tool. Every feature. Forever. No "free for 14 days." No "free up to 3 files per day." No "free but with watermarks." Just free.
How do you make money then?
Ads. The small, quiet kind. Google AdSense pays us a few cents when someone clicks. Nobody gets rich, but it covers the server bill — which is basically zero, because your files never touch our servers.
Are you going to add a paid tier later?
No. If we ever need to charge, we'll shut the site down first. The whole point of Hoja is tools that are free and stay free. The second we add a "Pro" tier is the second we become the thing we're fighting.
Where's the "Pro" plan? The "Business" plan? The "Enterprise" plan?
There isn't one. We noticed every PDF site has the same three-tier pricing page: a "free" tier that's useless, a "Pro" tier for $9.99/mo that unlocks basic features, and an "Enterprise" tier that says "Contact sales." We think that's a scam. So we made one plan. Free. For everyone.
What if I want to support you?
Use the tools. Tell a friend. Don't use an adblocker. That's the whole contribution system. No donation button, no Patreon, no "buy us a coffee." Just use the thing.
What's the catch?
You might see a banner ad. That's it. That's the whole catch. Your files are still private, still processed in your browser, still never uploaded. We're an ad-supported free website, not a freemium SaaS pretending to care about privacy.
